TLR Pressure vessel Inspections Pty ltd

TLR Pressure Vessel Inspections Pty Ltd is an independent pressure vessel inspection company providing high quality Pressure Vessel Inspections, including Boiler Inspections. My name is Terry Riley and I am AICIP & API accredited for the ‘In-Service Inspection of Pressure Vessels and Storage Tanks'. I have over thirty-two years’ experience and expertise in the Pressure Vessel industry. My career began as an apprentice Boilermaker in Northern England, manufacturing and installing Pressure Vessels. On arrival in Australia, I upskilled and attained the necessary qualifications to work as a Boiler Service Technician, which, along with my previous Pressure Vessel experience gave me the necessary platform to train as a Pressure Vessel Inspector. After gaining valuable inspection experience working as a pressure vessel inspector for the last 8 years, the time came to branch out and follow a new path. As an inspector, each day is a vastly different day, and the diverse range of people and industries that I work alongside is something I really enjoy. I look forward to my continued growth in this industry and furthering my experience and knowledge.

i have pressure equipment that is due for internal inspection. how do i prepare the vessel for inspection?

Typically, depending on the type of pressure equipment, the opening and closing of items of pressure equipment are performed as follows;

Air Receivers - TLR can facilitate the isolating, draining and opening/closing of the air receiver. We can also the supply and installation of any required safety valves.
Boilers - Prepared for inspection by the owner's Boiler Service Company.
Refrigeration Vessels - Prepared for inspection by the owner's Refrigeration Service Company, normally at the annual service.
Compressed Air Oil Separators - Prepared for inspection by the owner's Compressed Air Service Company, normally at the annual service.
All other vessels are typically opened and closed by the owner's maintenance teams and/or specialist companies.

it is hard to keep track of the inspection requirements for our pressure equipment. What is the best way for us to meet our worksafe obligations?

TLR can provide you with a pressure equipment register to document all of your items of pressure equipment. This register can also include an inspection plan and a safety valve register. The register can be provided as an Excel document, a hard copy, or both.

our company can only shut down production at certain times. Can TLR facilitate inspections at these times?

TLR can provide inspections 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year. TLR will always endeavor to meet the clients needs.
