Frequently Asked Questions

Typically, depending on the type of pressure equipment, the opening and closing of items of pressure equipment are performed as follows;

• Air Receivers - TLR can facilitate the isolating, draining and opening/closing of the air receiver. We can also the supply and installation of any required safety valves. 
• Boilers - Prepared for inspection by the owner's Boiler Service Company.
• Refrigeration Vessels -  Prepared for inspection by the owner's Refrigeration Service Company, normally at the annual service.
• Compressed Air Oil Separators - Prepared for inspection by the owner's Compressed Air Service Company, normally at the annual service.
• All other vessels are typically opened and closed by the owner's maintenance teams and/or specialist companies.

TLR can provide you with a pressure equipment register to document all of your items of pressure equipment. This register can also include an inspection plan and a safety valve register. The register can be provided as an Excel document, a hard copy, or both.

TLR can provide inspections 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year. TLR will always endeavor to meet the clients needs.
